About MandalaPulse

“A BALANCED UNIVERSE, DRIVEN BY YOUR UNIQUE RHYTHM.”

MandalaPulse believes in guardian deities for each Chinese zodiac sign, following the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. We combine this with the Five Elements philosophy of the I Ching to create products that enhance your energy and protect you, and that are made especially for your Chinese zodiac sign. Our thangka artisans strictly follow the rules for how to draw Buddhist icons. They use the Five Elements hexagrams to make modern jewellery. This makes the ancient wisdom into blessings that you can wear. The combination of Mandala and Pulse shows a modern understanding of Tibetan Buddhist beliefs and the I Ching's ideas about change.

Mandala: Geometric patterns in Tibetan Buddhism are sacred. They represent cosmic order, harmony, and the fact that all life is connected. The mandala system in the I Ching is based on the idea of 'the Supreme Ultimate giving rise to the Two Instruments'. The way it is built, with an outer circle and inner square (which together represent the idea that 'heaven is round, earth is square'), and the way the Eight Trigrams are arranged (with Qian representing heaven and Kun representing earth) all create a spatial metaphor that is understood across different cultures.

“The mandala is like the I Ching, but for space. And the I Ching is like the mandala, but for time.” Together, they create a way to understand the order of the universe.

WORDS ABOUT US

Our Team

MandalaPulse draws inspiration from the founding spirit of our brand's artisanal workshop. This workshop is grounded in Tibetan Buddhist heritage and the Five Elements philosophy of the I Ching.

In the morning light of the Himalayas, Master Wang Xiaokun, founder of MandalaPulse, uses his brush to paint ancient mandala patterns on a thangka canvas that is hundreds of years old. When he was eight, he started painting images of Buddhist icons. It was as if an invisible hand had guided him towards this special type of art. At fourteen, he formally started learning from a master, and began studying thangka art in a step-by-step way. From that moment, his brush became a vessel, guiding him in deep exploration of the rich world of ethnic art.Badan Rinchen is the third generation of his family to be a thangka painter. Thangkas are paintings from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. He is an expert in the rules of proportion for Buddhist art and how to improve the quality of the pigments used. In the last twenty years, he has painted more than a thousand thangkas, many of which have been bought by private collectors or put in museums.
